How to Make Air Fryer Crispy Parmesan Salmon Bites

Wash your salmon filet, then place it on a paper towel. Dab it dry to remove any moisture.

Use a sharp knife to remove the skin of the salmon. Cut the salmon piece into 1-inch cubes. Make sure the salmon is cut into equal, bite-sized pieces so it all cooks evenly.

Add the salmon cubes into a bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of olive oil, the grated parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper.

Toss it all together to coat the salmon.

Place the seasoned salmon bites in an even, single layer in the basket of the air fryer.

Air fry at 380F for about 6 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Remove from the air fryer and drizzle with your favorite dipping sauce. I like using a creamy garlic sauce with melted butter.

FAQ

  • You can use both fresh and frozen salmon for these crispy parmesan salmon nuggets, depending on what you have on hand. Fresh salmon is a great option if it's available, as it tends to have a brighter and more vibrant flavor. On the other hand, frozen salmon can be just as delicious and convenient, especially if you don't have access to fresh seafood.

When using fresh salmon, make sure it is of high quality and hasn't been sitting in the refrigerator for too long. Look for firm flesh and a pleasant sea-like smell. If you choose frozen salmon, thaw it properly before cooking by transferring it to the refrigerator overnight. This will ensure that the fish thaws evenly and maintains its texture.

  • Cooked to perfection in an air fryer basket, these delicious parmesan salmon bites can be whipped up in 10 minutes or less!

  • Yes, you can substitute parmesan cheese with another type of cheese if you don't have parmesan on hand. Some good alternatives include pecorino romano, asiago, or even a sharp cheddar. The choice of cheese will affect the flavor profile of the salmon bites, so feel free to experiment and use your favorite cheese to suit your taste.

  • Yes, parmesan salmon bites are suitable for meal prepping and freezing. You can prepare a batch of salmon bites in advance and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for a few days. They can also be frozen for longer-term storage. Simply place the cooked salmon bites in a freezer bag or container, and they can be kept in the freezer for up to 3 months. When ready to enjoy, simply thaw and reheat them in the air fryer or oven for a quick and convenient meal.
