How to Make Self-Rising Flour
1 1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Tips to Make the Perfect Cake
You have to use a full-fat, high-quality ice cream. The richer the ice cream, the better the bread will taste!
Make sure the ice cream is soft, almost melted!
Let the cake cool completely for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Ingredients
1 1/4 cups self-rising gluten-free flour
2 cups chocolate ice cream
1 cup chocolate chips (optional)
How to Make 2-Ingredient Chocolate Cake
Preheat your air fryer to 325°F. Make sure you have a cake tin that fits comfortably inside your air fryer, and grease the pan with cooking spray or butter to prevent any sticking.
Place 2 cups of chocolate ice cream in a microwave-safe bowl & microwave until soft, not completely liquid.
In a separate mixing bowl, add the 1 1/4 cups of self-rising flour. If you don't have self-rising flour, you can make your own by combining 1 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour with 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder and a pinch of salt.
Pour the partially melted chocolate ice cream into the bowl with the self-rising flour. If you're using chocolate chips, add them at this point as well. Mix the ingredients together until well combined.
Pour the batter into the greased cake tin, spreading it evenly.
Place the cake tin into the air fryer, ensuring there's enough space around it for proper air circulation. You may need to adjust the cooking time if your air fryer has multiple shelves, as the top shelf may cook faster.
Air fry the cake at 325°F for about 25 minutes. Check the cake's doneness by popping a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs, the cake is ready.
Allow the cake to cool in the tin for about 10-15 minutes. After the cake has cooled, you can drizzle it with melted chocolate, dust it with powdered sugar, or serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
How to Store
Wrap it in plastic wrap & keep it at room temperature for 2 days.
To keep it longer, place it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Note that this may change the texture slightly!
To reheat the bread, just pop a slice into the toaster to warm.
How to Test if the Cake Is Done
Check the cake's doneness by inserting a toothpick or a cake tester into the center. If it comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs, the cake is ready.
