What Inspired This Recipe 

This Pomegranate Glazed Salmon recipe was inspired by my Persian culture. As a first-generation American, I grew up on Persian cuisine, and pomegranate molasses was a staple ingredient in our dishes. Pomegranate molasses is commonly used in Persian cooking, particularly in a traditional dish called Fesenjan. 

I wanted to create a Persian-inspired salmon recipe that showcased the flavors of pomegranate molasses and combined them with the richness of salmon. Salmon is one of my favorite ingredients, so it was a natural choice for this recipe.

Ingredients in Pomegranate Glazed Salmon With Honey

  • 1 pound salmon filets, cut into cubes

  • 1/4 cup pomegranate molasses

  • 2 tablespoons honey

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to your spice preference)

How to Make Pomegranate Glazed Salmon With Honey

Preheat your air fryer to 375°F for about 5 minutes.

Begin by removing the skin off of your salmon. Cut the salmon into 1-inch cubes.

In a small bowl, add the pomegranate molasses, honey, olive oil, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper to taste.

Place salmon cubes in a medium size bowl and pour most of the pomegranate glaze on the salmon cubes. Reserve about 2-3 tablespoons of the glaze as a garnish. Toss the salmon to ensure it's well-coated with the glaze.

Place the salmon in the air fryer in a single layer. Air fry for about 5 - 6 minutes. The internal temperature of the salmon should have reached 145°F.

Serve the salmon with the remaining glaze drizzled on top. 

Garnish the salmon with fresh pomegranate seeds and fresh parsley.
